Teddy Bear Parade
Sunday – 2:00 pm at Memorial Methodist Church on Court St
Come walk with your favorite Teddy Bear! Prizes will be awarded for best-dressed bears.
Kids welcome up to age 10, and all entries must be kid-friendly. Prizes will be awarded based on age groups.
Registration and line-up begins at 1:15 pm in front of Memorial United Methodist Church on Court Street, across from Courtland Field
All entries must be in line by 1:45 to be judged. The parade begins at 2:00.
The parade travels down Court Street onto Main Street. Prizes will be awarded at the Main Street stage.
The registration form can be filled out and returned to the Town Office or e-mailed to RGuill@appomattoxva.gov by Thursday, October 7, or bring with you to the parade. Pre-registration is not required, but is encouraged.

Teddy Bear Parade Coloring Contest
The Virginia Department of Forestry is holding a coloring contest for entrants in the Teddy Bear Parade.
All completed coloring sheets must be returned to Rick Butler at the Forestry Department Office on Court St. by October 6 in order to be judged. Please submit your name, phone number, and T-shirt size on the coloring sheet.
Winners will be announced Sunday October 10th at the Teddy Bear Parade.
There will be 3 winners who will receive a Smokey Bear plush doll.
All entries will receive a T-shirt and iron-on transfer.
Note:
All coloring sheets will be kept by the Forestry Department for use in future fire prevention campaigns.
